Today Show Election Coverage
I went to the polls at 6:30, spent 30 minutes waiting in line, and made it back here by 7:05. At that time, the Today Show was ALREADY playing with that goofy map of theirs. I haven't seen it in a while though, so maybe Kathie Lee and Hoda will play with it. Right now they're showing Barack and Michelle Obama voting, and sort of talking over it. Anne Curry, surprisingly, has been allowed inside the studio. If it were raining and hailing, they'd have her out in a polling line, clinging to other people and conducting interviews. Anne Curry is an interviewing beast.

A Plague on The Today Show
I swear, nothing funny has happened on the Today Show in WEEKS. I'm wondering if the creation of this blog has cursed it. All the news lately has been so depressing and not at all entertaining. The stock market is crashing-- but it's not like they can send Anne Curry out to cover that since it isn't a literal things-falling-from-the-sky crash. That little Casey Anthony girl is still missing and that's just sad. J Hud's family was murdered. The election is all talk talk talk and annoying; I think even the media [despite their flagrant biases] are pretty over the whole thing already anyway, which is saying quite a bit. Hell, last week, they were interviewing Tina Fey at like 7:45 in the morning. Normally they don't start getting the celebs out till around 8:30.
I don't know...maybe their Halloween costumes were good. I am sad that I missed that. I did get to see the montage of their past costumes and now I wonder: where the heck is Natalie Morales?
Did Kathie Lee and Hoda dress up?

Did Kathie Lee and Hoda dress up?

Kathie Lee is off for several days because Frank is getting an award.
So they talked to her on the phone this morning. She and Hoda have taken to calling each other "My Hoda" and "My Kathie." And she left a surprise gift: a framed 8x10 portrait of herself to help Hoda during the separation.
It's really unfortunate that she's gone today of all days because they're going to be cooking with Paula Dean and Lynda Carter.
